Topic: GenAI Deployment Readiness with Proper Data Governance
Speaker: Eddie Liao
Patterns are becoming clear in what steps are necessary to successfully
and securely deploy GenAI across organizations. This talk will cover:
• The typical issues with deploying Microsoft Copilot and other
GenAI productivity tools including shadow AI
• Microsoft Copilot Deployment Readiness Roadmap and other GenAI
deployment readiness roadmap
• How proper data governance helps an organization to be ready for
the future
Eddie Liao has over 30 years of experience in implementing, managing,
and consulting on IT solutions, with the last 10 years focused on
enhancing organizations cybersecurity stance. Now consulting with
Avanade, a world leader in Microsoft Systems Integrations, Eddie has a
clear view on the intricacies of emerging technologies and how to secure
them.
Topic: Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) experiences
Speakers: Tammy Harper
FIRST has been bringing together security teams from around the world
for decades, creating a space built on trust, collaboration, and
real-world lessons. In this talk, Tammy shares her experience with FIRST
conferences like FIRSTCTI which took place in Berlin and FIRSTCON which
was held in Copenhagen. We will look at how the organization started,
what makes them unique, and why they remain one of the most valuable
gatherings for anyone working in incident response or cybersecurity today.
Tammy Harper is a Senior Threat Intelligence Researcher and Certified
Dark Web Investigator at Flare and studied Advanced Cybersecurity at
York University in Toronto, Ontario. She is currently an admin and
volunteer researcher for the open-source project RansomLook and a
contributor to the DeepDarkCTI open-source research project. Since 2022,
she’s been volunteering at her local Women in Tech group, helping mentor
women in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and the dark web.
When she isn’t researching communities on the deep and dark web, she
listens to techno/ambient music and sips a delicious matcha latte. Her
other hobbies include photography, reading, googology (the study of
really, really, large numbers), astronomy, and listening to true crime
podcasts.
Tammy was featured on the June 2023 Privacy Files Podcast: Dark Web
Crimes Episode (available on most podcast streaming platforms), where
she discussed cybercrime, major breaches in the news, and how the threat
landscape is evolving at an ever-accelerating pace.
We look forward to see you all there!
